Starting in January TeJay is excited to start teaching a group class about home recording. In this group setting students will learn all about the fundamentals of recording. This includes:
- How to set up software, hardware (Interface), and file management.
- How to properly set up microphones, etc to record guitar and vocals.
- How to record using a DAW.
- How to edit, mix, and export a finished project.
This is a “hands-on” type of course. TeJay will walk students through how to do everything on their own. By the end of the course they will have a fully produced/recorded copy of their own cover (or original) song.

Dates, Times, Location:
This is a two month course running from Jan 8, 2026 through Feb 26, 2026. Students will meet weekly on Thursday evenings at TeJay’s home studio from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
Cost:
The cost of the class it self is $250.00 per student. Please note that each student will be required to have certain equipment prior to starting the class. This equipment includes a laptop computer, audio interface, microphone, and a microphone cable. The total cost of these items can vary depending on brands, new or used, etc. For more info on these costs and options please contact TeJay directly via email.
Pre-requisites:
The students participating in this course should at minimum be able to sing and play guitar at the same time. If they can’t do this yet, there is time to work on this skill. Contact TeJay for one-on-one lessons and he can help you set some goals and get to work.
Minimum:
TeJay needs at least 4 students minimum for this class to take place.
